Biography

Brian WasiakDirector/Writer

 

Brian is a graduate from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he studied acting at the Stella Adler Studios, Directing at Playwright’s Horizon’s, and film studies at the Film Department. Brian moved to Los Angeles where he started the West coast office The Concept Farm, a New York based Advertising Agency where specializes in creating original content for TV with co-branded content.

During this time, Brian wrote and directed a short, The Kids’ Table, that The Concept farm produced. The Kids’ Table won many awards including Best Dramatic Short at The Houston WorldFest 2004, and a best Supporting Actress award for Angela Pupello a The New York Independent Film Festival, 2004. Since then Brian has directed two other shorts for the 48 Hour Film Festival series, a short titled Over The Shoulder, which won Best Comedic Short at The Houston WorldFest 2005, and most recently, the short Mercy Street. He also has been directing commercials and TV shows through The Concept Farm as well. Brian did a segment for an ESPN Original Entertainment show titled Home And Away, that showed the culmination of ESPN’s 25th anniversary search for the ultimate fan. He also directed a series of commercial to help launch GUY TV, a new HD channel geared for just men. Brian also wrote for an Emmy nominated show produced by The Concept Farm called Cool In Your Code. Cool In Your Code airs on channel 24 in New York City. The show takes you to the far and not so far reaches of the boroughs by highlighting a particular zip code and letting New Yorkers know what’s hip and happening in that zip code.



Brian has worked on several web based TV series. He is one of the co-creators and stars on the web series Breakin' Ballz and has directed a season of webisodes for the comedy Cast This!
